Dystopian Worlds

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Panelists who flirted with (fictional) disaster in the most calamitous ways will discuss the research, rules, and resonance needed to successfully create dystopian worlds that are as equally rich as they are desperate. Often, the success lies within harnessing the fear of things not yet in existence, but easily imagined. From post-apocalyptic chaos to totalitarianism, writers will discuss the importance of outlining, psychology, and tone when capturing dystopia on the page.
