A Conversation with Brian Helgeland

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The versatility of AFF’s 2015 Distinguished Screenwriter Brian Helgeland is pretty incredible. It’s hard to believe that the same writer is responsible for  films as diverse as Mystic River, L.A. Confidential, A Knight’s Tale, 42, Man on Fire, Robin Hood, and the upcoming Legend. And while Helgeland’s scripts inhabit different countries, different eras, different styles, and different sensibilities, they all carry with them his signature broiling intensity and subtle intelligence.  Take part in a conversation with AFF’s awardee himself to find out more about his writing style and how he finds his voice in the unlikeliest of stories.
