Writing gender and sexuality can both easily fall prey to stereotypes and clichés – two things the industry has seriously struggled with overcoming. In this panel, Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs, Mother and Child), Jack Burditt (30 Rock, Mindy Project, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), and Kathy Greenberg (The L-Word) will discuss writing complex characters that break stereotypical molds and why this is important to the landscape of film and television.
