Creating and Sustaining a Kick-Ass Writer's Group

How do a collection of creative people support and encourage each other in a group environment without bloodshed or crying themselves to sleep at night? For over five years, several employees at Pixar have run an off-hours writers’ group that has produced four AFF Competition Finalists, several Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalists and a few options to boot. They will offer insight into creating a writing routine, feedback and notes, table reads, and the ever-important group dynamic.

Tim Albaugh is a writer/producer, and a graduate of the UCLA M.F.A. screenwriting program.
