Mr. Montgomery is an independent film producer based in Austin, TX.  In 2009, he produced The Last Rites of Ransom Pride, starring Lizzy Kaplan, Kris Kristofferson, and Peter Dinklage.  In 2011, he was an executive producer on Richard Linklater’s Bernie, starring Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey, and Shirley MacLaine.  The film debuted as the best independent theatrical release of 2012.  In 2013, Mr. Montgomery produced the Neil LaBute written and directed film Dirty Weekend, starring Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve.  In 2014, Mr. Montgomery produced Freeheld, starring Julianne Moore, Steve Carell, Ellen Page, and Michael Shannon.  The film sold to Lionsgate less than four months after wrapping principal photography.  Other credits include, Drop Dead Sexy starring Crispin Glover, Jason Lee, and Brad Dourif, and TV Junky, winner of the Sundance Special Jury Prize.

Mr. Montgomery has a BA from The University of Texas at Austin and a JD from Southern Methodist University.  Mr. Montgomery is currently head of business affairs for Horsethief Pictures and High Frequency Entertainment.
